2027 Opportunity Quilt
We are getting ready to start the process of building our opportunity quilt. There will be many things to accomplish over the next couple of months, so if you can't attend a sewing session below, know that there will be more opportunities later.
2025 Opportunity Quilt!
The quilt is a Foundation Paper Pieced (FPP) design by Heather Buchwitz and inspired by Treasure Island from the book Ultimate Modern Quilt Block Collection by Daisy Dodge. Many guild members cut and kitted blocks, sewed and assembled blocks and rows. Heather Buchwitz also quilted the quilt.
The winning ticket was drawn and the quilt awarded to the winner November 2025!

2023 Opportunity Quilt!
Pattern is Spool Quilt from Friendship Strips and Scraps (used with permission) from Laundry Basket Quilts.
Quilt measures 60” by 70”.
Pieced by the Members of the Olathe Quilters Guild.
Quilted by Heather Buchwitz of QuiltKC.com.
Drawing for the quilt was held at the guild meeting on November 14, 2023.

Our 2021 Opportunity quilt
Designed by Lisa Hirsch and pieced by members of the Guild. Heather Buchwitz of Quilt KC machine quilted the quilt.
Congratulations to the Lucky Winner who bought their ticket(s) at the Kansas City Regional Quilt Festival and lives in Columbia MO!
